bareMinerals High Shine Eyecolor in Ice, the PERFECT Highlight! [REVIEW]

So here's the perfect product for creating the perfect highlight under your lower eyelids.  It's aegyo sal approved!

Drum roll please...it's the bareMinerals High Shine Eyecolor in Ice ($12.00 at bareescentuals.com).  And I so, so covet it, so much so that I wear it everyday, and even carry it in my coat pocket whenever I go out.

How We Met

A few weeks ago the greatest thing happened: I learned there was a mini-Sephora near my house!  It's located in a strip mall inside JCPenny, which left me chuffed, since the next nearest Sephora is 20 miles away.

I had to stop by, and as a saleslady hounded me about Benefit's Cheek Stain ("Yes, yes, it looks greeeeeatIthinkI'llbeoverinthissectioninsteadthanks!"), I strolled upon bareMinerals' selection of High Shine Eyecolors.  They all stood out, with their beautifully metallic, buttery colors...

But Ice enchanted me the most.

Color-wise, it's not a true "ice" color, so to speak--bareMinerals describes it as a "frosted pink."  In the bottle, it definitely had the look of a pink eyeshadow, but swatched on my wrist, looked more silver than pink...

$12.00 well spent!

This applicator wand makes highlighting a breeze!

Why I Love bareMinerals High Shine Eyecolor

I've always had this thing for bareMinerals, but this eyeshadow is truly exquisite for highlighting your eyes.  The eyeshadow is finely milled and spreads evenly across the eyelids; the applicator tool (which is pretty handy!) also means I can apply on the go.

Though pink in the bottle, Ice leaves a soft, metallic white-silver glow that works especially well for emphasizing your aegyo sal, or those small pockets of fat underneath your eyelids.

bareMinerals High Shine Eyecolor in Ice applied underneath my lower eyelids, perfect for highlighting.

My only gripe?  Even with primer, Ice packs a lot of fallout--after a few hours of wear, there's a cascade of silver and white glitter all over my cheeks.  But hey, I can just claim that makes my skin look super dewy, right? ;)

Would I repurchase?  Absolutely.  In fact, I want all of the shades now...but my wallet says no bueno.
