NEW: URBAN DECAY Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion [REVIEW]

So if fairy dust was sold as an eyeliner, this is probably what it would look like.

Now available on UrbanDecay.com, their Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion ($19.00 at UrbanDecay.com) recently got revamped for the 2013 holiday season--featuring a new logo and a shiny gunmetal cap to boot.

I own the previous version, but I've been assured the relaunched version features the same formula, so consider this an accurate review for both versions :)

And it's uber awesome.  Seriously.

If a makeup product truly deserved the nickname of "holy grail," Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion is it.

Why Distortion is a Total Rocker

Distortion is about as good as it can get when it comes to glitter eyeliners--it dries fast, stays put, and doesn't stray away from your face, no matter how long you wear it.  Its precise brush tip also allows for complete control and picks up just the right amount of product.

Makeup fanatics will be glad to know that Distortion is a unique mix of iridescent glitter suspended in clear, fast-drying gel, allowing for endless versatility.  I usually apply this over the base of my eyelid for a pop of color.

Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion dotted over eyelids, which have also been contoured with eyeshadows from Urban Decay.
Because of its clear base, the glitter blends in seamlessly with makeup, and can even be dotted on eyelashes to add an unexpected shine to your eyelashes.  There's no peeling or flaking like with other glitter eyeliners either (the NYX glitter eyeliners come to mind; good price but poor quality), so no matter how long you wear it, it's guaranteed to stay put.

I love it!  A must have for all glitter fanatics.

PRICE: $19.00
AVAILABILITY: At UrbanDecay.com, ULTA, and SEPHORA
THE GOOD: Iridescent glitter dries quickly with plenty of sparkle that lasts easily over 8 hours.
THE BAD: None whatsoever.
GRADE: A+

XOXO,

  1. Hey Minsooky (I read your About You. This is a cute nickname)! I'm not too big on glitter, but I LOVE what you did with Distortion here! Glad to hear this doesn't flake off! It seems like a mess-free way of playing with glitter :)
